Shift knob question.
Shift **** question.
Ok, so coming soon is my '13 GT Premium. It'll have that funky aluminum looking shifter. I want to go with something more retro, and want to put in a white shift ****/ball. Simple, retro. What would I get, and do I need anything special or specific with it? I see all sorts of people buying all sorts of combos, but it's my understanding that there were two distinct setups on these cars.
So that being said - I'd totally appreciate it if someone could point me in the right direction.
Can I just get a shift **** and that's it or do I need one of them funky jam nut, retainer, dealios?
thanks!

I believe you will need the short bullitt adapter...if your stock has a small chrome ring

The American Muscle retro ***** come with a cheap plastic boot retainer that doesn't work and looks cheap. I strongly suggest the steel one that they sell separately for $20. It's totally worth it.
I just replaced the shift **** on my '13 Boss. First off, you'll need a strap wrench to get the OEM **** off. I had to heat mine with a hair dryer for 3 or 4 minutes on high heat, then it took numerous times with the strap wrench before it came loose. Some have said that theirs was easier, but a gorilla must have installed mine.
I got my **** here: http://www.epcoshiftknobs.com/
You will also need a jam nut to go between the **** and boot.
