Thank you for the update. All ambitious projects run into challenges and I’m certain you will find a way to make it work in a capacity you are happy with. Hopefully, it will be something others can duplicate once you’re finished

Out of curiosity, do you have the OEM navigation in your Mustang?

I wish this swap would be Plug n Play but Ford doesn't make anything easy.

I had my Electrical friend take a look at the diagrams, what he was looking at seemed like there was not a way to make the cruise work, I really hope that is not correct. Can you add a link for your video?

Oh, you got them swapped out for the cruise control as well? Id love to see what you came up with, Are you using the S197 clock Spring and wiring into that original plug?

Yup but I dont know if it worked yet, I had my in lwas came in for vacation so i had to hold off. Unfortunately we have to use our s197 clock spring. I would have loved to use the s550 but it's short on wires. Ill get a pic so you all can see what the difference is.

Sweet, I was afraid it really wasn't going to work, so now Im getting excited for you, and me. Yeah, the S550 clock spring was so much different it didnt seem doable, but I was also afraid the S197 clock spring wouldn't have enough wires. Thanks for the update, I cant wait to see what you came up with and to see if it works.

lol no pressure at all.
Ordered new switches because I am thinking That I put the wrong resistors on thats why nothing was working for the cruise controls.

I'll be abit busy in the coming months because we are expecting another child in July 😑 so i hope I can get it to kinda work.

Also this came in 😊

Congratulations on the upcoming baby. Out of curiosity, what electronics package was in your car that you are adding this S550 wheel to? Nav, Sync, etc.

With your nav you would then also have altered steering wheel controls for audio, yes? I am simply trying to speculate on the task you are working on. Essentially, each button on the wheel has a different function and different resistance, so you are attempting to find the resistance of each S197 button and pair it to a similar button on the S550 wheel regardless of location on the wheel. Is this correct?

Amazing project and congratulations again on the new baby. Just had my first in January.

Yes Correct. I got the values for the cruise control on/off, set -/+, res/ cancel but haven't don't anything as of yet. while the Bluetooth I haven't done as I don't really use it. I know when I pressed the Phone button it would take me to my last called.
