Raxiom Navigation System Screen shutting off when it got hot - finally found out why!
I tried to find the answer of my 2011 Raxiom Navigation system that the screen kept shutting off and just was blank whenever the weather got hot. It always started up again in the mornings when it was cold weather with no problem.
But Will at American Muscle over at Raxiom and demanded a solution to this problem. Luckily, his demands were answered in about thirty seconds.
What most people think that the screen was going into fail-safe mode and shutting off and we originally thought that the units had bad sensors but it turned out to be the firmware.
The new firmware does not have this problem and your screen will not shut off no matter how hot it is. On top of that, you don't even have to rip apart your dash as the firmware will show up at your door in the form of an SD card to replace your current.
Just ask for the new firmware from the manufacturer or contact American Muscle and obtain the new firmware - I don't know what American Muscle is charging for the new firmware.
