I sometimes keep my verizon mifi in the middle console and it works pretty good for a passenger with an ipad or other tablet. It doesn't stream video very well but general web surfing and Pandora works fine.

Not that I am condoning this, but you could jailbreak your iPhone and download an app called PDANet. This would allow you to tether without paying AT&T.

Hey, how did you make trim outline for the tablet?

 

This is my current stereo. I have a 7" pioneer avh unit, that I want to install. I know that I can buy a kit for $300 - $400. My question is, can I not just remove the factory stereo, measure & cutout the front bezel & make this work? Has anyone tried this?

 

Has anyone seen this approach? The whole console has been moved up between the visors..

 

Thats definitely different. Idk how that would do with the screen up there. I wouldve moved the console up there but kept the screen down below.

 

They kept the screen down. What your seeing is an added interior light up top. No c/d player, but with the component in the dash, you don't really need one.. Looks like an airplane inside.. Lol

 

Well I can't hold back any longer. I was going to make an official announcement soon but I am producing a "Conversion Kit" and an IBook on the install. I have a new website half done that will detail the install and kit. I have had this installed for about a year and a half and recently made some improvements. I am working on a re-designed overhead that has a easier mounting system. The new Bezel will house the Ipad. Im in the shop working every day and working on the new website and book at night. Plus a full time job. I've seen the demand grow over the last year and finally have some extra time to start production. If anyone missed it, the old website is still active.
