Pics of your backup camera install

I'm wanting to see how people have installed different aftermarket backup camera's on their cars. I might be getting a Kenwood head unit and one features I want to use is the backup camera. I wanted to see different installs so I can get an idea how I might prefer to do it.

Thanks

I installed the factory backup camera to my base model and have it showing on my mirror. If i had a kenwood head unit it would show up there just fine using the camera video input since i put a regular RCA connection on it.

What mirror is that? My OE camera mirror has a screen half that size.

Thanks for that.

The factory one is nice but I have a GT500 style spoiler now. I suppose I could pay someone to install a camera in my spoiler but that could get interesting. hopefully I'll see some others get posted.

I have the factory backup camera on my car with the factory Electronics Package. I'm eventually going to get a GT500 spoiler and have the audio shop I used to work at mold my factory camera into the new spoiler...

I would love to see how that turns out. I may have to talk to someone about doing that with mine. I actually would like to switch to a Saleen wing at some point but that would cost way more than what I paid. Like $500 unpainted plus extra drilling to install. I don't think I'd want to try a camera on that. Although I wonder what they did if someone wanted that on an actual Saleen. Might have to give them a call.

I'm also regretting not having my third brake light shaved when I had my trunk and radio antennas shaved at the body shop. Would have made for a nice clean back end! I would have mounted up one of those full length LED bars at the top of the rear window (inside) to replace the factory CHMSL. They messed up the paint on my trunk lid, so I may have them do it when I take it back in...

I put on a GT500 spoiler and had to add an aftermarket camera. I first had it mounted under the spoiler until I pulled off my bumper cover to do the quads.

When it was mounted under the spoiler, I just ran the wires out from behind the brake light and put the light back in.

For above the plate, I removed the bracket the plate lights are in and drilled a small hole for the wires to go through and then ran it through with all the other wires for the trunk.

Here are a couple of shots, sorry for the crappy shot of the one under the spoiler, it's all I could find.

Sent you a private message with the link to the seller i bought from. I'm definitely buying one for my truck and my 01 bullitt.

Why did you move it? Was there a problem with it under the spoiler? How as it attached when you had it under the spoiler?

Didn't have any issues with it under the spoiler, but it was only held on with 3M tape and I wanted it a little more secure. I didn't want to drill holes in the under side of the spoiler.

Even if the tape came loose, it wouldn't do anything but dangle there. When I removed my bumper cover to do the quads I decide to move it where it is now so I could screw it in.

I have my Cam mounted in between my plate lights on my GT500. Its ran to a Kenwood 890HD system using a IData Link. Works well. I just wish I would have mounted it a little higher. Its great for not backing to close to a wall or other things.

Sorry No pics to show..
