opinions on rear seat delete

opinions on rear seat delete

Anyone have a rear seat delete or know about how much weight is dropped

I'd bet only about 10-15#. The bottom weighs nothing.

I would suggest doing something useful with the space or making the delete kit out of fiberglass and resin. Most delete kits are made from MDF or something similar so what you gain in removing the seats you lose in throwing wood back there.

Agreed. Losing weight would be the point. So adding heavy wood would be pointless. I wish I could find the exact dimensions.

Use cardboard and cut it to shape with your seats ripped out. You can get a rough idea that way and then trim to specs if needed...

You can find some good info online about making a cardboard cutout. I've been debating pulling out my rear seats and putting in sub enclosures made out of resin and fiberglass.. I just haven't pulled the trigger.
