I don't have Sync, so I could never do this and have any functionality with my tablet but even if I did, I don't think I'd want to leave a giant gaping hole in my dash when I took my tablet out.

Why would you take the tablet out?

Also you could just use the 3.5mm headphone jack to the aux in on your car for audio, the only downside being that you would have to actually reach to use the touchscreen controls instead of steering wheel controls.

How about because you use it routinely at home? I use a RAM mount for mine.
