More trouble wiring V1 with Invisicord
I've done a search and read the posts about this topic but am stumped. I also have used a voltmeter but am not having any luck finding the 12V key on pin. I read that I'm looking for a purple and black wire. The online wiring diagrams require a plug-in that won't install on my computer.
I took the plug out of the back of the rearview mirror and see blue, blue/white, gray/blue, black/white, etc but no solid purple nor solid black wire. I took the overhead light box off and read on one post there would be an empty plug up inside there. Not on mine but I do see the solid purple and black wire but no way to tap into it with the Invisicord.
I guess I have the upgraded mirror? Please tell me what I am doing wrong!

pin1 should be +12 power. that will be the upper, right-most wire if you are holding the connector facing you with the clip at the 12 o'clock position. the wire will be slightly thicker than the others (18 gauge versus 20). however if you have sync, the mic wire will also be 18 gauge, but that one is at pin 9 or 14 depending if youhave a 10 or 16 pin connector.
