leather armrest covers for the doors

Saw these from American Muscle:

http://www.americanmuscle.com/padded...lack-1014.html

and these off Ebay:

http://www.ebay.ca/itm/PURPLE-STITCH..._qi=RTM2247626

Just wondering if anyone has used either of these. I like the AM one better as it is padded and has the stitching on the inside of the handle, where as the Ebay one does not. But the AM only offers black stitching.

JF Customs from Ebay is the first one and American Muscle is the second.

No one, huh?

Well, since I have decided that I am keeping my '12 for the foreseeable future, I want to upgrade the interior, as well as some performance mods.

I will wrap the A pillars, dash top and door arm rests in pleather with white stitching. Just wondering if it is more economical to have it all done custom or get kits like these.

Did you check the Take off sights for the Flat Leather door panels?

I don't know about economical, but piecing together a set of covers for various trim parts sounds difficult. I mean, I have a premium and just trying to find a shift boot and e-brake handle boot that match the steering wheel is difficult. If you go custom you know that all your pieces will be from a similar lot and have the same stitching and workmanship.

You are probably right.

I would love to see pictures of a car that someone has done, though. I know of a 2012 that had the dash top done in 2 tone.

I wish someone would make a replacement door card or cover to get rid of the slab of black crackle finish plastic that is the door card stock on 11-14. I vinyl painted the insert in a gray matching the centre console trim, just to give it some contrast.

I saw this from AM that I really liked if you are thinking of adding something to the door:

Also saw this from Sure Fit Upholstery in Burbank. They wrapped the door panel in alcantara. They also wrapped the dash top, just as I wish to:

Check out this for a door insert as well. Seeing as they have the templates, they can certainly make more:

I've ordered from Steeda, American Muscle, and Late Model Restorations and had great service from all of them.

I also have had great service from AM.

I really want to get their armrest covers, just want white stitching, which isn't offered. May just go to a shop and have them do it as suggested.

Not in love with Alacantara but, if it can be done in that, it could be done in something else. First time I've seen actual photos of someone doing this. Thanks for the inspiration!

I took my dash and interior panels in to get upholstered. They should be done in a couple weeks.

Got some panels back. I also had them felt the inside of the door pocket, too. The A-pillars are done in fabric. I will get the dash next week. I am now considering doing the whole door panel in pleather, as well as the back panels and centre console. We will see.

I'm really interested in seeing what the finished door looks like if you cover it in leather. I always felt the doors and rear passenger arm rest area let the interior down on our cars
