I would love to do this. I think the climate controls on the roof look straight up legit. That having been said, I would be concerned for the iPad being stuck in the car and in the heat. Don't own a garage so this would be an area of concern for me.

Thanks guys!, It is rock solid! I get the "HOLY $#!t" at all car shows.
When I purchased my tints for my windows I made sure that I had the most heat resistant tints on the market. I paid around $200 for them, but it was worth every penny. Even on the hottest days, I have no issues jumping in my car and grabbing the steering wheel, and they are 25% darkness....legal.
This ipad was purchased for my Pony. It is installed and non removable, just how I want it, although two screws will release the bezel. I have not needed to get behind it. I sync wirelessly as it connects to my routers at work/home. The latest jailbreak for the ipad is out and I have beyond full control of it now.(Power on/off with car, etc.)

Sync talks good with the ipad3, (pandora, etc.) You can even command the Sync system to connect to the ipad bluetooth over voice commands.
The iTSX wireless tuner, is a great addition to this setup, I can load custom tunes on the fly, in addition to viewing all of my vehicles readouts(gauges, codes, etc.)
Thanks!
