Installed part of my b-day gifts...at 4:30 am
I couldn't sleep... for other reasons, so I decided now was the best time to perform the install. Bought LED's from VLED's for rear plate lights and reverse lights and dome lights. Then 6k LED fogs from iJDM.
Install was a snap... I had more issues trying to remove that stupid trunk plastic liner. I didn't bother removing it... I just removed one plastic screw cap then peeled the liner back. Easier than mucking with the whole liner and breaking something. Rest of the install was easy... dome light, just pull, done in 2 minutes. Fog light was wasy, just take radiator cover off. Rear plate lights, just 4 screws. Done.
My favorite of the bunch? The interior dome lights and reverse lights!!! Here's some install and completed pics, along with all my halogen OEM lights. What to do with them??? Throw them against the wall? lol...
My old HOEN fogs vs the new iJDM LED fogs
Here's one side OEM, the other side VLED... see the difference? Love the white.
And now both

Thanks for all the props guys. I was going to do the install "some" time soon...but when I was wide awake at 4:30 this morning, I figured when other time could I get peace and quiet while the wife and kids are all sleeping? Might as well.
Thanks bill. Easy peasy mods... But results are worth it.
Lol thanks man... Not till 2 weeks...but I got some of my gifts early
I don't understand the question... Lose the light output? Huh? If anything they're brighter than the Oem halogens in there.
The reverse and domes are 194s... And the rear plate lights are 3418 festoons. All of them are 5k temps except for fogs. I wanted 6ks for fogs, and they are size H10s

I have LEDs everywhere else, and I agree I LOVE them. But I hear the LED reverese lights may be "brighter" but don't illuminate as far. I have VERY dark tint and at night with the windows down I put alot of trust into the amount of light they put out, I may just say screw it and try them.

I would have to agree here, my LED reverse lights are absolutely whiter but definitely do not throw light as far or wide as the original incandescent bulbs and this is without any window tint. Pretty but not as functional, at least in my experienc. For what it worth my LED's are the 13 SMD 5050 CANBUS bulbs, not sure what the VLED variety's are.

I agree. I wish the 12s came with those. But no big deal to swap. I think LEDs are becoming more common even Oem.
Ah I see what y'all mean now. I didn't get a chance to look. I would imagine this only matters in the dark/evening backing up? Perhaps. But if so, I am ok with it... Esp since I don't drive much at night.
I think those were the ones. I went with 6ks and the ones that had 90some LEDs

Thanks bro... I appreciate it...
Installed the remaining trunk LED for Marilyn...
Then for Farah, I finished installing my Sylvania Ultras yesterday... wow, talk about scraping my fingers and hands all over. What a PITA. I wish I could be one of the engineers that reviews the final assembly design for all these cars... then ask the question, "How do you nimrods propose Joe Schmo can access these items that require maintenance and replacement?"
sheesh....
but anyways... the Ultras look GREAT. In addition, I received my VLED shipment yesterday, and went to town on the install. I had all the covers off before the package came, so I was all ready For now, I went with 5k white for the door puddle lamps and everywhere else...including map/dome, vanity, rear plates, and trunk. I might switch to red door puddle lamps soon. I think it would really match the OEM red lighting in the footwells for driver/passenger.
Makes SUCH a HUGE difference. Clearer and classier on Tori and Farah.
Here's Tori...
like I said, HUGE difference. OEM on driver side.
All done with interior...
Then for Farah... same effect.
