Yeah it's a shame because they might have actually sold a few of these if Ford offered them...

I'd say the best thing to do is live with it. Thats what kids do. Sooner of later his feet will touch the floor and you'll have a dirty floor mat. Don't worry about it. Wipe if off and "Keep on keepin' on".

I used to put an old t-shirt over the seat and it was a lot easier than putting on old socks on kids shoes everytime. And teaching them not to step on the door sill too worked too. Now my girl is 12 and was telling my friend and new wife the story. How funny is that.
