Console lid pad for 2012 V6?

I’m looking for a source that carries a padded console arm/elbow rest pad for my 2012 V6 with an automatic. As that hard plastic lid is getting a little annoying. This generic product would probably work, but I was hoping to find a product that looks / fits more like an OEM pad would.

Padded console lid arm rest pad

If not, any ideas?

Hard plastic?¿ It should be padded, yours isn't padded? and why are you putting your weight on it?

You or your passenger have never rested an arm/elbow on the console while driving or parked?

Yes, but not really putting weight on it that the center console pad isn't enough. Are you leaning on it?

No, I’m not leaning on it. The problem is the extended arm/elbow resting period while making our Las Vegas to San Diego trips, which takes about 7-8 hours on the desert back roads. The wife has noticed this problem while driving too, so the search for a solution continues. Seriously, my rubber mouse pad has more padding than the my factory console lid does.

you could always throw a towel on there.

my issue isn't so much the console pad, but the cupholder door. it would be nice if it was covered in suede or leather. when I do rest my arm on the console, it bothers me a bit.

that pad with the strap doesnt look very good, but it would work for a trip or something i guess. fords messed up with the little compartment lids and doing away with the armrest. people that upgraded to the new cars dont like that much. the new console does look sleek though and it flows nice in the design.

I rest my left elbow on the door panel while driving, so I guess I put very little effort in the right.

That's crazy, that armrest was one of the reasons I DIDN'T buy a 2005-2009 mustang, it's the ugliest thing ever put in a mustang. I would NEVER own a mustang with that in it.

My arm rests right where the console lid, cupholder lid, outside console plastic, and e-brake trim meet when holding the steering wheel with my right hand. I call it the four corners, not comfortable at all.

wow, interesting. i like the 05-09 armrest alot better than the sn95 models that had a skinny armrest, and either person in the frt can use it. we have a 05 and a 06, and i admit i didnt think much of the feel of the factory lid, thus the reason to start making leather parts for our cars. now i really like our console alot.

i have never driven a new model yet, but ive had alot of guys asking me about making changes to the new consoles, so that statement was based on feedback from customers, which theres not much i could do with it the way its made. one guy said he sticks a 44 oz. cup in the holder with something on the top for a armrest

i can make you a real leather shift boot and e brake boot though once the vinyl gets bad

I’m not sure about Pear Blossom Road by name?

The wife and I start from Las Vegas on highway 95s to I-10w to 78s to 111s to 98w to I-8w to 94w which ends in San Diego. Sounds complicated, but it’s not after you done it. Sure, it’s a longer but an enjoyable drive and we rarely see any law enforcement. This allows winding up the V6 to “blow the carbon out” at times. Otherwise, it’s the sheer madness of I-15 where constant defensive/survival driving is the name of game and that’s not REAL driving for us. If you know what I mean.

What madness is on the 15S? 15N on a Friday, yes, but not 15S.

Did you know that I-15 is the most ticketed road in CA and NV by the highway patrol? The I-15 traffic is not like it was 30+ years ago driving to/from San Diego to Las Vegas. We would rather avoid it, especially on the weekends. Besides, were both semi-retired and not in a rush.

So, when you said madness you meant speeders? Oh I thought you meant madness in a large amount of bumper to bumper traffic.
