Cloth to leather recaros

Does anyone make leather seat covers for the stock recaro seats? I have cloth recaros and wanted to switch to leather.

Definitely an option... but the pricing is crazy as Tousley shows them for ~$2K per seat!

Has anyone contacted recaro themselves for possible seat covers?

I'd think a competent upholstery guy (or gal) could do you a custom job for similar (or less) money than 'store bought' options....

I'm sure if they're competent, they should be able to match the factory stitching. I know this is an old thread, but just throwing it out there.

I have been offered to trade my cloth ones for leather ones a couple of times. Seems that you slide around more than what some people would like when hitting the twisties. Maybe check the classifieds on the different forums for people looking to trade seats.

If you want to keep from sliding around on the leather, you need to drive naked!

Having done this before I can vouch for this statement. Not preferable on a DD basis though. LOL. I lost a bet.
