Changing shift ****

Just a question for those who have swapped out the stock shifter **** for the ball style...does it change the shifting feel at all for the better or worse..or is there no real difference except cosmetic?

I have the Grabber Pony shift **** and it does feel better, to me. As far as shifting dynamics, my personal opinion, the transmission is easier to shift. This could be just mind over matter, but I like it.

I JUST installed one from CJ three days ago. While the actual shifting COULDN'T change because of the ****, I sure do love the feel more and enjoy the feel MUCH more than stock.

Best mod to date!

I feel it gives a better feel and control of the shifter...plus it is cool to see ...this is the larger style too.

I put the Hurst T-handle on mine and I like it better. Doesn't shift any better, but somehow it feels more substantial.

Great guys, but be ready for a small wait. To do one of the custom ones it is about a 3 week turnaround time. They make them to order.

I will also try this spacer set-up, but it's not fully polished yet so I won't leave it on, even if it fits right.

The car will shift the same, with that said I can hold it like I want so that in turn makes me more comfortable. I like the shift with the stalk in between my fingers when I am racing. It has become a habit and I just didn't like the feel of the stock glog they called a shift ****.
