CARid OEM Real Aluminum Dash Kit & More
Since I finally finished my exterior mods, I decided to focus on the black interior.
OK, I know a lot of us don't really like dash kits, but I finally bit the bullet and decided to try one. I went with one from CARid which is an OEM style Real Aluminum Dash kit. The black interior was just to dark, so carbon fiber was just not an option for me. I did the Center console area last night, and I love how it brightens up the otherwise colorless interior. The finish matches about 90%, in that it has a topcoat or something that makes just a bit shiner....kind of like the aluminum trim on the steering wheel. But it does have the grain pattern.
I also added a Neon Color string to add some pop at night. It was a simple add-on, and makes the dash almost look like the aluminum is floating at night.
I also added MRT tilting headrests, and boy are they comfortable. It allows my shoulders to now rest against the seat better, and just makes the entire seat more comfortable.
Finally, I purchased a set of 1969-1970 Door emblems, and added them to the center of the door panels.

Very nice job. A little bright w/ the neons, but I like it. Hopefully you have a toggle switch or something to shut them off. I also bought that interior kit but never used it. Hopefully, I'll find a home for it soon
My mustang is all black w/ some red accents. Once I get home and actually get to see my car, I'll post pics. I painted some parts red on the interior, along with a lot of chrome accents from American muscle. Looks really good.

Bill, nice job, looks great. I'm especially interested in the 1969-1970 door emblems. Can you please tell me a little more about them? Are they plastic or metal? Where purchased? How much $? How did you install? Any close-up pics? Thanks!
