Car2U Garage Door Opener transmitter range

The distance I can activate my garage opener with my 2012 Mustang Car2U visor really sucks ... I have to be within like 10 feet of the garage door. Using the factory remote I can easily be 75 feet away. Anybody else having a problem with the transmitter range?

Question about that visor opener, does it run on batteries?

Mine is the same way. I back into my drive, and I sometimes have to fold down my visor, or open the door to make it work okay.

Maybe my tint is blocking the signal? Or our garages are just built too well?

Try messing with the receiving wire on your unit. I just straightened mine up and I can open my garage from a good 40 - 50 yards.

Mine works from two houses away. Check the antenna on your opener.

guys I need help understanding what this means.

its a rolling code progamming..

1. I hold 2 outter buttons, all lights come on

2. I hit learn button on the motor, get back in the car

3. I hold a button down and begin waiting, lights of other buttons turn off

4. I wait for 40 seconds all 3 flash rapidly and die on me at once.

5. garage door remains unresponsive..

What brand opener? Not all will work.

Back on OP, mine too does not have range I've been use to in the past. I also have to keep the button pressed down for a solid 1-2 seconds.

our new home we had built last year came with a Marantec opener (german design made in us). It didn't work in my 2010 GMC Sierra or the 2012 Mustang.

I bought a Lear Car2U conversion module
http://www.learcar2u.com/conversionmodule/

Was very easy to install (mounts up on the 110 volt outlet for your opener) and I'm able to use the factory equipped buttons in both vehicles.

Same here, tried a dozen times, all failed. My brand is Linear. So frustrating.

Mine is about 10 feet as well. Nature of the beast, you can google homelink and that's pretty much the #1 complaint.
