Can the '13 Rear View Mirror be Opened?

Without breaking it. And how. It's the standard mirror without video display. Thanks.

Just curious as to why you would need/want to do that.

This. Why would you want to take it apart?

To get at the guts, why you open up anything.

If you think that is silly, then why I want to open it you'd probably think even sillier: I wanted to put my tiny "reverse gear indicator" LED beside the sensor for the mirror dimming (i.e. neater). It's fine where it already is I guess, the mirror looks sealed to me, and I'm pretty experienced at opening stuff that's not meant to be opened (without breaking) by consumers.

And no, I don't need a reverse gear (MT) indicator, it's useful to have, much much more useful than a "passenger airbag disabled" one, and more than a half-dozen others I could pick out. Just saying.

The reverse LED took me less time to install than this post did to type lol.
