Camera + recorder

I have been seeing a good amount of accidents and missed a couple good races over the past couple months and decided to invest in a camera system that is constantly recording. I purchased the RY880.
It records in 720pHD @ 60fps in a h.264 codec. Perfect for transfer to a Mac.
It separates the files for me in Driving and Parked folders. Recalls recorded speeds, audio, and travel on map.
2 HD cameras + GPS adapter + 3in touch screen. Great buy for 110 bucks.
It has been recording for over 3days now on high quality and has all of the footage and counting on a 32gb SDcard.
Here are some shots of the cams and touch screen. And an updated shot of my interior.
Ill post a YouTube video of the footage when and if it ever stops raining here in South Florida.

Footage

Got around to uploading some footage from the dvr. A ride to work this morning running my custom 93 Bama tune. I really enjoy the firm shift points. I have a tank of gas with Torco added to it…..she sounds mean, that is not a supercharger.
Watch in HD

Nice! 110 bucks? That can't be retail price.

Good setup!

took 35 days to arrive, I could not find an american made dvr system. There are many models from this maker, this is the only dual hd model they offer. It even arrived in a Chinese language interface, easily switched to english.

What are the chances it came with an electronic copy of the manual? Nothing found on the web.... I am a bit OCD before I buy something and like to know all I can about it before I buy it....

Thanks for posting the link. Does it come with the mount or is that just a universal mount?

wow this has me really interested. How did you run the video/power wires? Where are you drawing power from?

It comes with a cig lighter end for power. I cut it off. My wiring is under the head board to the gps + rear cam which is micro USB. I have an overhead console also. I leave it recording, screen off, constantly. The longest I have had my car sitting without starting was 2 days. No problem starting.
It overall is good for the money. The screen is not of highest quality but viewable.

It was sent with the mount. Not a suction mount. 3M one time stick.

Does the system delete the unneeded recorded information once it gets full or do you have to manually delete the stored data every few days? This looks like a very, very good mod to have for stuff like accidents, if the car is vandalized, and just for fun too.

What are those blue lights above the rear view mirror where the maps lights usually are?

He moved his A/C controls up there to make room for the Ipad he has installed in place of the radio bezel.
