What about leather pants?
Seriously, heated leather seats rock IMO. Cloth just looks cheap and worn over time.

Nick, your lights are common anode, and not common cathode, they will not work with the ford harness and LEDs.

if someone went aftermarket and picked up common anode led's (which are the most common) then that would be perfect, and then they would juse a common anode rgb LED controller.

Now could you explain this to me? Why wouldnt it work.
What if you just plug the LEDs into a power source. Would that work?
Still learning this stuff.

^ obviously it should work with a power source.

We want to plug it with our auto lights (dome etc). At least that's what my understanding is.

And i dont know how it wouldnt work...

Theres a positive And a negative wire...

but again i wont be doing this myself, will have some professional do it for me.

common cathode LED's work by having a red blue green led and share a common negative ground as where common anode have a positive ground which makes no sense to me at all whatsoever lol im probably explaining it wrong.

an rbg led has 4 pins to it, +R +G + B and -G and then theres the other kind -R -B -G +G or (V)

OHH! You are talking about a multi-colored LED. Ahh. See I was thinking of just a one colored LED.. Ok that makes more sense.

diode dynamics will work just fine.

you can buy their kit or their color changing kit and it will all work just fine

to be a little more clear -the ONLY time their products wont work is when combined with FORD LED's. but by themselves there is no reason they wont work.

I am trying to find threads on this as I would love to add ambient lighting and the MyColor to my 2013 Boss 302. Love the car, but never going to race it to win, and would love some of the goodies that were not offered on it. Will also be modding the audio as my 85 T-Bird had a better system in it. The base system is really, really horrid.

Seeing the threads I am a bit intimidated...but the end results would be too nice to not do this. Am concerned about the gauge cluster issues. Have to find out if I can keep the track key and track aps with the color change backgrounds (Once again, not likely to ever need the 161-180 mph range)

Oh.....and first post. Glad I found this site as the depth of threads on modifications is amazing.

Here is something I did a little while ago. I never got around to finishing the doors though.

Since it's warmer outside, I'll finish it sometime. Maybe when I do the sync retrofit.

no this is only to be just like how it came from the factory.

maybe diode dynamics can help you with something for the visors.

If anyone can post any advice in running wires thru to the door I would be appreciative. My car -2010 base vert no my color- does not have the wiring in the doors. Thanks.

This looks great. I have all the ford lighting cup ring, door panels, center console etc... Do you have any pics of how you wired this all up? Including the door sills? My sills have 4 black wires, everything else has 4 wires I believe green, brown, blue, and orange. Would it be easier to but the ford aftermarket kit and wire it all up to the module that it comes with?
