2013 Dash Panel Removal

I have a question about removing the dash so I can upgrade the panels. I found a good write up about doing it on the 05-09 Section written by (BlueSkyVert). When I got to the fuse box I noticed mine (2013 Mustang) was different than in the pictures. My question is what specific fuse am I looking for? In the owners manual it mentions fuse #46 as the passenger airbag deactivation indicator/occupant classification sensor. Is that the one that needs to be removed.

Agreed. Just disconnect the battery and wait 10 min.

You made it sound like you want to remove the dash? You don't need to do that to replace the trim panels.

Cheers

Okay, the panels and the air bag are attached and you have the remove them together before you can change out the panel. Just don't want to deploy the airbag.

Ok. Disconnecting the battery and waiting 10 min will do it. Dash does not have to come out to get at the airbag.

In case you don't have the instructions to remove the panels, to remove the airbag, there are 2 bolts that secure it to the dash. To get at them, the glove box should come out. The Sync module also makes it awkward, so I'd pull it out too. Once the bolts are off there are a row of tabs along the bottom that you will want to push out from the inside.

Good luck.

The Team Shelby site has a good thread (or two) about removing the panels, what with their Shelby autographed panel obsession. With pictures, if I recall correctly.

Everything went smooth. Here are some shots of the finished product.

How do you go about replacing the panels? I like the idea of swapping out the panels.

Is there a write-up?
How much are the panels?

Thanks!
