Torn between splitters 13-14 Mustang

Been thinking of adding a splitter to spice up the front end. The RTR one is out. I like the two Stillen splitters and of course the roush. Chopping up the stock splitter worries me. Are there other options beside the CS/Boss one. Can't see myself spending $600+ on a splitter.

I installed the Roush and it looks fantastic. Cut up the stock splitter in about an hour using a dremel.

The Stillen looks great too..a bit more stock IMO.

I installed the Roush in about 2 hours. I'm glad I did. Yeah, it makes you think when you cut up the stock splitter, but when your done with the install you'll be glad you did it.

I installed the Roush splitter and did NOT destroy my stock splitter in the process (thread is here: https://themustangsource.com/forums/...-piece-528988/

Basically, all you need to do is figure out how to support the ends with some brackets and the center with some aluminum pieces. The splitter has been on for about half a year now (and several thousand miles) and is holding up just fine, and my stock splitter is safely tucked away up in the attic.

The Roush one is definitely the most affordable out of the available splitters.

I was able to cut up my factory piece in no time at all and the cut was so clean. I used a brand new razor blade in a utility knife. I took it slow, but the blade cut right through the plastic. No rough edges and it cut right down on the line in a matter of minutes.

Your Car is Beautiful. I love the stripes. Where did you get them? Did you install? Can you post a side and rear picture?

Thanks! Don't want to get too far off the OP's thread topic, but here's a pic of the side and rear- which shows the profile of the Roush splitter (can't bring myself to spend $100+ on the two little pieces they sell for behind the rear wheels- I guess that's where I "draw the line" ). The stripe kit is from http://www.bigwormgraphix.com. They are based in Ft. Worth, TX- so I drove over and had them do the install. I think it was something like $260 or so for all the stripes, the black 5.0 emblems, and the install... they did it while I waited and I've been super pleased with the results. You can have them put any text you want in the top of the hockey stripe- I was thinking about going with "S197," but am glad I decided on the "GT" graphic (which is one of their stock graphics).
