Tire size for staggered tims

I currently run 20x8.5 and 20x10 rims with nitto invos which are 255-35-20 and 295-35-20. I love the look of the rears, and I was thinking about doing 275-35-20 in the front, but I'm worried about getting a muffin top look. I think a 275 would be too wide for an 8.5 rim. Does anyone currently run a 275 with a 8.5 inch rim? Also, do you think a 315 rear would be too wide for a 10 inch rim? I want to go as wide as possible without getting a side wall that spills over the rim. Thoughts?

I think 275 would be too wide for an 8.5" rim, but you should be ok with 315's on a 10" rim.

I want to get a set of rims but the only thing I can find for Brembo that I like is in 8.5 and 10 inch sizes. I'm good with 255's on all 4's, so going 10's in the back is not a big deal for me. Anyways, I always thought 255's would be too much for a 8.5" rim and since you have them I'd appreciate it if you would post a picture of it, and include any thoughts you might have. Thanks

You sure those aren't 9'' wheels? I've also heard that Nitto's run narrow but is that a Nitto you have?

I have 255 on 8.5 in wheel and it looks a little wider than that. Not a huge amount but def wider. These are a private label brand tire that I got from the wheel dealer.

Yes they are nitto invos. That's why I was thinking a 275 invo might be ok on the 8.5

Why do you want to run that big of a tire up front?

To create less wheel gap, but I think the 255's are fine.

Why not do a 245/40 or 255/40?

You know, I thought about that. I might try that out. 245-40 would probably do the trick.
