Spoiler Question

I was looking at getting the 4 pedestal spoiler for my black V6 and saw them on stage3motorsports for like $390 then what appears to be the same spoiler also preprinted for $165. I was wondering if any body has gotten these from eBay and what the results were.

Here are the two links.

I just bought this spoiler about a week ago. I was searching online and found 2 websites both selling the spoiler for around 200 bucks. Both websites described the product as using 2 bolts for 2 posts and double sided tape for the others. I also found another site that the whole spoiler gets painted. I bought mine from a local ford dealer for 340. The underside stays like a flat black n the posts n top get painted. I could not b happier with it.

I bought the OEM spoiler, I saw some of the aftermarket and did not like the way the looked completely painted, I like having the post and underside black plastic, flows better with the rear of the car IMO.

From what I can see the different ones on eBay are either about 150 or 300 painted. The difference appears to be ABS vs. injected polyurethane as the material. Does anyone have experience with the two and know if there's a big difference. Considering the spoiler is not load bearing I wouldn't think there really is a big difference.

Did you get yours pre-painted from your dealer? I contacted Tousley and they told me they only come primed, not painted. I want to get a stock appearance one with the flat black bottom.

The OE pedestal spoiler only come primed "paint to match". The thread below includes photos and cost for me to redo the rear on my wife's 2011 V6, including the addition of a pedestal spoiler..

I got mine from thespoilerstore on Ebay for $85 dollars shipped. It looks just like the OEM to the untrained eye. The 2 tone OEM with painted top and black underside is the only difference you can see. I ordered mine primed and painted it flat black myself so it didnt matter that it differs from the OEM. Fitment was good, not great. Once i drilled the other 4 holes and line it up it was just a little off but not so much that it didnt install. I just threaded each bolt a little and then slowly tightened until it matched up perfect. It may have been off by a 1/16 of an inch maybe less. It came with 2 sided tape but it wasnt 3M. Its been on the car over 2 weeks now with no issue of water in the trunk or warping and thats being in the sun with 70+ degree temps all day for almost the entire 14 days. As you know that black paint gets very hot even in mild temps under direct sunlight and there are no issues thus far. I have some pictures on the forums here but none close up of the spoiler installed i will try to post a few later today as its very nice out and will be a good day for some pictures.
