Something a little different - ADVAN TCII

So, I have snow tires on my OEM 19s. I hate having to spend money to change the tires every season, and I had these 18x8.5 and 18x9.5 ADVAN TCIIs around from my last car.

They're really light (under 50lbs with tires on), and have huge brake clearance. I forget what the offsets are, they're like in the high 20s low 30s I'll check when I get new tires on them soon. Fronts fit great, rears are a little too low of an offset for my taste but not bad. The tires are a little shorter than OEM so the wheel gap is even more pronounced =(

The current tires are **** though. I got the rims used and they had crap tires but it was too good of a deal to pass up. Some all season kumhos 245/45/18 fronts and sumitomo htr z ii 275/40/18 that are looking a bit dried out. Plan to pick up a set of Nitto NT555 is 255/45/18 and 285/40/18.

EDIT: Here's a better shot... A little taller tire will help, and maybe that 55d rear spring package, don't think I want to lower the car quite yet.

Some crappy pics for now, will get more soon. The spot in front of my house isn't the nicest shot.

Rear profile:

Kinda distorted side profile, it was hard to get it all in frame on my iphone.

maybe w/ proper tires and center caps, they'd look great.

They never came with center caps because they're no frills racing wheels but there are some advan center caps that allegedly fit, but they're over 200 bucks on ebay Id rather spend the money for center caps on springs.

As for the tires, finding some in 18s close to OEM height is rough. Most of the tires are all in the 26'' range vs the 27'' that the OEMs were. The angle of my street and the phone angle doesn't help the wheel gap in there either! I was going to get a better pic after I got off my boat today, but I felt weird taking a picture of my car in the middle of the street with like 100 people around me.

Updated the first post with a better shot from this morning.

they remind me of the Enkei RS-5 I had on my old GTP Daytona 500 Pace Car about a decade ago. With the right tire (like a 255/45R18) they'd look alright on your car. The offset isn't totally conducive though if you were to lower it at all. Looking forward to seeing what you do here.

Well, I got some Continental ExtreneContact DW tires put on, 255/45/18 and 285/40/18. They are pretty awesome, especially compared to those **** tires I had on before. Barely any wheel spin when it was about 55* outside, doesn't even chirp on a hard 1-2 shift.

The fronts look pretty good, rears still have a bit of a gap, but they are the factory 27in height. Not the best pic, I edited it on my phone because my wife didn't like the surprised look she had as she was thinking "Why the **** are you taking a picture of your care in the parking lot, you tool?" The app shrunk the pic a bit.

The rears probably wouldn't take to much lowering, unless they get a little negative camber. I'm not really into lowering cars anyway though, and when the tires were shorter, I was already scraping coming out of some parking lots by me... I may look into those mustang brembo 5.0 rear lowering springs to close that rear gap a bit, but for now they're gonna stay the way they are.

Lol I know, the whole car needs a cleaning! The rims are filthy, I didn't clean them before I put them on, and they have a ton of lube on them from the tire shop not wanting to scratch them.

Well... didn't even last 100 miles. Had this at 6:15 this morning, missed my ferry. At least Continental offers 1yr road hazard. New tire will be at the shop by Monday, free of charge. Gotta put my OEM rims w/ snow tires back on the rear today or tomorrow when my dad can drop them off.
