some new exterior mods

tinted tails and side lights, trucarbon CF trunk filler, 3d500 spoiler, roof and gurney flap on spoiler covered in 3m di-noc CF vinyl. The way the light reflects off this 3m di-noc gives a super cool effect......very close to real CF. Also have trucarbon CF mudflaps. Just the beginning

Looks good, what did you use for tinting the lights? Was it the spray on tint or the stick on tint?

its regular automotive clear tinted w/ black. We scuffed up the lights, cleaned them , then sprayed them. After they cured , we wet sanded them then polished.

Wow - Hireman, that CF on the roof looks awesome. I love the glass roof look on the white, but that CF makes me think twice. Was it expensive? I saw on one of the Boss threads that someone was going to do black vinyl on the roof of a Kona Blue Boss and it was more expensive than paint. It sounded wrong to me, I would figure the time and trouble to paint would make it more expensive than vinyl, not the other way around.

VALCAD....there is no way regular vinyl should be more expensive than paint. This CF vinyl is not cheap, I have a pretty good source on it and depending on the amount I buy its between 5.50 and 6.50 per square foot. I had a vehicle wrap guy do this install because of the corners, didnt want to take a chance on screwing up the vinyl, it was one sheet. Even with that , I still cant see this being more than a good quality paint job on the roof. Total to do the CF and install was about 225.00

Yeah - I would think that sounds about right - and I would expect the CF vinyl to cost a lot more than gloss or flat black. I don't have a connection on vinyl or install, but I still can't see it costing more than paint, unless you painted it yourself.

I love the look of the glass roof, but $1900??? Not sure if I can afford it when the time comes to buy. I might have to forego some of my wants and just make sure I can get a Mustang for sure. I thought about getting the V6 just so I can tick all the boxes I want, but that would probably be a regret down the road.

Now the CF roof has me drooling.......Well done sir.

I like your roof very much. Very nice, my girl like it too. I have a glass roof so putting that on mine is out of the question, but I will put a bit on the Gurney flap. Where can I buy the product? Thanks

That looks **** man! I have the same 3M Di-NOC sitting in several rolls in my garage because I'm waiting to do the glassback before I wrap the car. I'm also scared ****less to do this install myself. Waiting on a buddy of mine to come help, he did my Xpel clear bra. So we'll see how it comes out. Might be overkill, but I dont care. lol

of course I remember you.....you were one of if not my first customers....you helped me kick off that business....what a ride that was!!!! Too bad my partner had to go and screw it all up. I had a stellar rep , several large companies were carrying our product line then some situations happened where I had to get out , all the trust was gone. Soon after that , the crap really hit the fan. Now I understand people have been ripped off, looking to sue, better business complaints ect. ect. I'm very happy about it though, people have posted when I had it it was ran awesome, customer service was incredible , promises were always kept...ect ect ect.
I have been following these 5.0's since they came out...sold my black car to a guy in Cali that just had to have it, the price was right so I let it go....really missed that car...until I got this one...LOL!!! I've seen your cars progression all along, done some really cool stuff. I'm just getting started on mine...its gonna be fun!

yeah , messing with this stuffs not bad but because its much more than regular vinyl, it does make it scary...LOL!!! It pretty easy to work with if you have heat. The guy who applied mine pulled out a propane torch, the kind that you pull the trigger it ignites....freaked me out when he started heating the vinyl and even the corners of the roof with it but this guy knows his stuff.....fed ex flys him all around the world wrapping their trucks so I figured he wasnt going to burn my car down. One hint he gave me was even though this stuff adheres really well dont skip the step of applying the 3m primer to all edges and corners.....even if its a flat edge. Doing a entire car should look pretty cool.

i'm good...sold my black car a couple years ago about the same time I sold my interest in the company to the ex partner. Still followed the community from afar till I couldnt resist the 5.0's any longer.....it was a well controlled addiction till I started reading about how they responded to minor bolt-ons. I have every bolton you could imagine on my black car and barely broke over 310 rwhp....this thing w/ o/r x tune and cold air is 415 ....now of course I'm designing one off wheels, planning suspension , paint work and on and on.....one thing for sure...I have had my fill of black mustangs......I went totally opposite as you can see,,,that black car, because of its paint job was SO MUCH work....whites a breeze !!!
