I was just watching an episode of American Choppers and they did a bike with a snakeskin pattern on a fuel tank. Have any of you guys seen this type of paint job on a car? Or how do you think it would look if you painted say the cowl on the hood of the 2010+ cars with this type of pattern. And im not talking any wierd colors just using the base color of the car with maybe another like color or a tasteful color that will blend with the car well?

Also how would it go with just a regular 5.0 or V6? That paint scheme on a Shelby would make more sense. Just a thought. I thought it would be cool but i wanted to see what others thought.

 

I don't think it would look good to paint the entire car like that, but i think it would look sweet to do snakeskin stripes on a cobra....tastefully done, of course. I'd like to see that.

I definitely agree that painting the whole car with this pattern would be awful. I was just thinking that painting a piece like the hood scoop or cowl would look cool. But it would be more "appropriate" on a Cobra for sure.

 

He's such a weird person. I stopped watching specifically because of him.

On a black Shelby, I could picture a the front end painted with a dark green snakeskin that fades into the black by the time it reaches the front of the doors... something subtle not gaudy ...
