Roush Rear Valence and Parking Sensors

Has anyone tackled installing their reverse sensors into a Roush rear valence on a 2012? I've seen the write up elsewhere on doing it to a GT500 valence. The Roush valence seems to not have a fully flat area like where they'd sit on the stock valence. I'd have to look at it in person when it arrives this week to see if I can mount them flush in a similar to stock location. Anyone have any suggestions or info as to where you think they'd fit on this thing or where you'd try and put them? I got it because I found it on sale along with the square tips and I like the square tips and I'd rather have them then buy the round replacement tips for 65 bucks a piece. I've survived with every other car without reverse sensors but they're a nice feature to have and I'd like to keep them.

Any suggestions as to where you might try and put them? That crease just down from the upper edge I don't think is flat in there. To me it's either on that very upper edge, the top face of the crease which seems angled downward though. The other thought I had would be lower on the diffuser in those vertical pieces, or in the flat areas between them inboard of the exhaust openings. I guess in reality I could put them wherever I want but I want them to function as close to stock as possible.

Now that I really look at the stock valence, the area were they're mounted is slightly angled downward and the mounting collars position them so they point straight back. Maybe this can work....

It is possible! I remember seeing a RS3 in 2011 that had the rear valance and sensors from the factory. But for the life of me I cant seem to find a pic anywhere...

No big deal. As long as it has and can be done on the Roush valence, thats good enough for me to try and tackle the project lol

I would think the best spots for the roush valence would be on the areas where the lil fin meets the body of the piece. Four spots right there

Gonna be tough install. You also need to make sure you have enough room behind the area to fit the sensor and wiring harness.

I guess you could possibly spread all 4 of them beneath the license place area. But not to close to the vertical pieces or teh sensors may detect them.

I don't really see anyway of mounted them on the corners to get corner warnings like the factory setup.

GOod Luck

Yeah I guess I'll just have to look at it when it gets here. If there's any doubt I won't even bother cutting into it

Well I got the valence and square tip roush exhaust installed today as soon as FedEx arrived. After the annoyance of all the push tabs instead of simple screws for most of the installation I didn't een want to mess with drilling into the valence for now. Maybe one day if I get ambitious ill try it but people have survived without reverse sensors for 100+ years so I don't really need them I guess. The valence fits great and the exhaust sounds awesome. Similar to my custom muffler delete but a lot cleaner, better tone, and not as much crappy sounding rasp. And a bit more bass just above idle. Overall very pleased with all of it.
