Remove rear emblem?

I used fishing line to "cut" all that I could off the faux cap and I STILL can't get this thing to budge. If anyone has any tips, pictures or ideas could you please share them?

AM has a removal/instal guide.
To save time.. Use a plastic spatula or thin sturdy plastic wedge only. Then carefully pry up. Give it a bonk with the wedge if you are impatient. I'm serious.

Tape around the cap so you don't scratch anything.

I did the above and heated it too. The tape is key. Don't be cheap with the painters tape.

What are you planning on replacing it with? I'm thinking I'll use plasti-dip to black out the chrome portion of the cap... but would rather lose it all together.
