Painted to match 5.0 engine cover

Took the engine cover to the body shop for a little mod. Turned out pretty good I think.

Thanks guys. I did think about the valve covers, but decided to just stick with the cover for now. But, that's always a possibility.

I think it looks great as is. Subtle, but classy. The coil covers match the intake runners right now...leave it as is!

How did your wife feel about you using the fancy candlestick to prop the cover up for pictures on the dining room table? lol

Hahaha I was just gonna say that. Lol. You can tell who the married guys on here are hehe.

Wanted, I recall you JUST got your car recently. I see you are already modding. Attaboy. . What else you got done? That cover looks good tho! How much was that if you don't mind me asking?

I have boss covers right now and was thinking of painting the spare covers I have in kona. But maybe I should do the whole cover instead. Looks expensive tho.

Looks great, as for the coil covers, If anything you should just paint the "powered by ford" lettering

Great job Jim. I'm motivated to do the same. Same color too. Everything under the hood looks to be pretty much stock, but I think if you had to do one thing to make a great sunrise in the engine compartment, you just did it. Thanks for the PM too. Dave

The candelstick thing wouldn't have happened if she knew. And we ain't gonna tell her, right.

The cost was reasonable. The process took a little time, he had to use an adhesive promoter after throughly cleaning the cover. Then the color, and two coats of clear. Whole thing was $150, not to bad if you say it real quick. I now need to wait a little while before I suggest another mod. Being the Wifey's car, she needs to be brought along slowly to accept anything else. Yep, I'm "Married Man", see me cower.........

As far as the heat, I've known the body shop guy for many years. I feel that if heat would cause problems he would have told me. Here's hoping.
