Cool New Upper/Lower Grille Installed on my 2013 GT!

Got some more new parts installed on my 2013! This time I installed the modern billet black upper and lower grille from American Muscle. I've wanted a new upper/lower grille for a while and I liked the Roush, but wanted a lower grille to match and these are a great alternative and allow you to keep the fogs which looks pretty tight at night. Install wasn't too bad and I was pleasantly surprised at how easy the front bumper is removed lol. But I'm definitely glad to get rid of the factory honeycomb grille. Let me know what you guys think!

More photos and a video of the fogs on!

Here's a new video with some tips on how the install is done since I know a few people were wondering.

Looks good! I'm not a huge fan of the fogs behind it though, but as long as you like it, to each their own. I think I'm going to go with the CS upper/lower within the next few weeks.

And I agree with you about taking the bumper off, I took mine off last week to get rid of the front license plate bracket. It was surprisingly easy. Although I did shear one of the small screws on the front lip because I was using a pwer drill and the torque was set too high

Wow. You have done so much in so little time haha. Every time I check there's a new thread. Great addition. I love the hidden fogs. Idk about the rtrs. I think I'd go back to the drifts, but still looking great!

Thanks guys! Yeah at first I didn't like the hidden fogs but I figured I'd try them and they do look sick at night. Plus I can always take them out.

And they are AMRs not RTRs lol. But one of the main reasons I switched was ease of cleaning. I think they both look good, but these are MUCH easier to clean. The drifts look like crap after a couple days of driving bc of brake dust. These not only look better when the dust is on there but are much easier to get the dust off.

And no these wheels are for me to keep lol Maybe I'll do a big giveaway at 10k subscribers on youtube or something and give away a set of wheels

I absolutely love how those grilles look on your car.

I was looking into getting them too ... the upper is a replacement and the lower is an overlay, right?

Talking about this set : http://www.americanmuscle.com/black-...le-2013gt.html ... is this what you got?

not a bad alternative to the California Special grilles. Good work.

Looks really good! and in before Bill comes and everywhere!

I like how the grilles tie in with the factory inserts where the CS fogs would go. Have you considered the 3D Carbon side skirts? I think they'd tie in with your front lip really nicely.

Add me to the 'not a fan of the fogs behind' list... It looks decent, but I have never been a big fan of the 'overlay' grilles... I just added the CS upper grille and CS fogs myself yesterday and love the look...

But the rest of the mods you've done so far have been spot on! I LOVE those wheels and that chin spoiler looks awesome!

thanks guys!

I may switch out the side skirts down the road, but I just put on the roush side splitters and I do like them. As for the fogs behind the grille, I'm not sure If I will keep it that way or switch to the lower fogs, but we'll see.

Iceguyb,

Awesome pictures man, I love the DIB! Your 13' GT is really coming together. I'm glad you decided to go with the billet grille, the hidden fogs look sick with this set up!

Keep up the great work and let me know if you have any questions.

-Dan

The entire car is absolutely amazing.......Plain and simple as that, RCE EATR.

I truly don't know if it can get any nicer than that. It's perfect in my book.
