~ NEW Carbon Fiber Front Splitter!
~ NEW Carbon Fiber Front Splitter!
Just received/installed my Custom carbon Fiber Splitter!
I looked at the BOSS splitter but was wanting something a little more....I saw the MRT One and was impressed but liked the option of the Carbon Fiber.
As it arrived:

As for any "Custom" piece there is always some modification/prep work to do. Matched up the splitter on the floor with the front bumper to see where I wanted to drill the holes:

Drilled and starting to mount the splitter....

Moc-up of how it mounted on the front bumper:

The custom splitter replaces the 2012 air-foil under the car and acts kinda like the Boss-LS splitter does to control the aerodynamics.

ALL DONE..

Got it from APR performance.
Thx everyone....now I am really torn, not sure if I should spend the $400 for CF side splitters or just get the rtr ones for $160?!
The extra cash would come in handy for more mods.....

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Diffuser_%28automotive%29
A diffuser, in an automotive context, is a shaped section of the car underbody which improves the car's aerodynamic properties by enhancing the transition between the high-velocity airflow underneath the car and the much slower freestream airflow of the ambient atmosphere. It works by providing a space for the underbody airflow to decelerate and expand (in area, density remains constant at the speeds that cars travel) so that it does not cause excessive flow separation and drag, by providing a degree of "wake infill". The diffuser itself accelerates the flow in front of it, which helps generate downforce.
