MY First RetroFit
First off I want to say I am no photographer so the pics I post may look bad.
Well this is my frist retro fit and it took me a while but I finally finished my retrofit of the Morimoto Mini H1s I bought on black friday. I bought a extra pair of headlights off a buddy of mine who purchased the raxiom headlights. I didn't want to do the retrofit on my headlights because im a noob and was afraid i would mess them up. The hard part was opening the headlights I was told you can not bake these because the housing would melt before the glue does so I took a dremel and went at it. It did not come out pretty but I finally got them open I painted the reflector and the housing kona blue to match the paint job on my car i painted the parking lights/side markers black not to dark still wanted light to go through and I painted the plastic surrounding the parking lights and the shrouds flat black to go with the rest of my car. I added blue leds in the projector to make blue demon eyes and l made a led halo out of flexible led strips. I will have a friend help me take better daytime and night time pics and light out put when i get a chance but here is a couple for now.

I have to say........ I like this so much! I didn't think I would like the led's by your description. But they look great in the pictures. Makes me wanna get a pair and try it myself!

I picked up the parts from Theretrofitsource.com I emailed them for info before I started and they replied that same day they have awesome customer service. The headlights I picked up from a friend who bought the raxiom headlights I didn't want to open up my headlights and mess them up since it was my first time doing this.

I saw these when you first posted about them. Subscribed, and look quite regularly at them. I plan on tackling this soon! I have a friend selling his heads so I'm going to use those. Just in case I mess up.
Awesome

Not to thread jack, but I recently retro-fitted a set of extra factory lights I bought from ebay. I was able to open the permaseal by baking the lights at 230 for 20 minutes, taking them out and breaking the seal loose. Then 20 more minutes at 230. After opening them up, I installed a set of The Retrofit Source Morimoto D2S mini's. I had to open the original bulb hole with a unibit. This allowed me to "screw-in" the mini's. Here are the finished pics, haven't installed them yet.

The HID equipment set me back around $300. This was an all inclusive kit from http://www.theretrofitsource.com. I got the lights of ebay for $135... So I would say with all the little stuff and paint, $500 out the door. Still cheaper than getting factory original HIDS and rewiring the harness to make them work. I am also putting HID's into the CS fogs as well.

Its been a while since I've been on here but looks like Bullitt 3309 has answered all the questions. I actually did not use the D2S projectors i used the Mini H1s they have worked with no issues. I did remove my amber reflectors and get switch back LEDs which are white unless my hazards or turn signal is on then they are amber. I also removed the spaced out LED halo I had and installed the oracle SMD halo.
