Just bought a '11 Cal Special Vert. Thinking about leaving hood to fender stripes and take off side Cal Spec stripes what do you think? Any other ideas? Maybe painting front grille black. Also reinstalling Cal Spec logo on rear faux gas cap inplace of owner installed GT one. Anyone know easy way to do this? Thanx

 

I say loose the hood/fender stripes. I dont mind the factory GTCS stripes. I would do a saleen grille

Lower it! I'd leave the chrome grill on it. Replace the back Faux cap as you said with the GT/CS one. I replaced my wheels after i got mine cause i hated them. Tint them windows!

Windows are tinted. I just ordered the Light bezels from AM. I like CS stripe but like my Stang different so there gone already. Fender stripes with black 5.0 looks real good and clean. Im thinking of painting front grille as there is no chrome on car any where. I wnt to take the black out trunk pc off but affraid it will pull any of the under black paint off so its staying for now. I have original CS badge for rear so we are going to try and put it on today.

 

Here is my CS if you need ideas as well, as a side note selling the hood. I took off the stripe, added 5.0 emblems and blacked out the cap to match the decklid panel. Add a BOSS302 splitter and it completely changed the front end look. I have also added the roush side splitters

I like your car. I say keep the hood to fender stripes and lose the cd stripe. I also say extend the stripes in a pinstripe down the body and also down the hood with the lines of the hood. I've seen a drawing of one kind of like it. Also I like the Saleen grille idea too. That'd look real nice

Took off GT badge and put on CS one

 

Took off grille and took apart then painted black. And reinstalled....much better. Should come from factory black

 

Removed CS stripes

 

But now you look like every other 5.0 IMO!

 

Just was never a fan of the CS side stripe. Like all the added stuff CS come with though. Not many GTs have these rims and other CS stuff. I never thought that CS guys were really that serious about a set of stripes
