Are matte and satin different?
What would you say the decklid blackout on the CS and Boss is?
Monday my car goes in to have the decklid and top of hood bump painted black.
If satin is one 'notch' under gloss, that's what I'm looking for.
I've been looking at other cars with flat/matte/satin black accents. What bugs me is the raised edge of the painted sections. Looks like a decal even though its painted. Putting a clear over it would prevent that, but wouldn't that make it gloss black, then?
I've heard there's a 'matte finish clear'?
I'm sort of having 11th hour jitters.
Thanks.

I have a CS and the panel on the back is stick on like a decal. I would say it's a toss up if it's matte or satin. It's not real shiny like satin but has texture like matte.

I think I'm going with satin.

If you want that, then I recommend SEM HR010 Hot Rod Black, a satin black. Used it on Awesome's skirts and lower bumpers... love it. It's not too flat, and it's not all that shiny, just... nice.
