Lol... thanks guys. I appreciate it. Anthony, you mean I could sell it? Well you could, but then I'd take royalties. I keep thinking I should do watermarking... but it's too much work. Just like it's too much work to take off the plates during a photoshoot. I want to make a quick magnet attachment to block it out. Hmmmm... there's an idea.

I replaced the screws for my rear plate with a pair of studs like these:

The wood-thread part goes into the car, I used a nut on the machine-thread end, tightened all the way down, then the regular plate, then another nut to hold the plate on.
Which left me with about 3/4" of "naked stud", which I use to slap another plate onto, so my plate isn't photographed.

That's how this pic was taken:

You can kinda see the studs in that ^^^ pic .....

Of course, what plate you use is up to you ... could be a Ford oval, a pony, whatever floats your boat.

I also use it at car shows, where strangers might be taking pics of all the cars, then post them on the internet ....

lol yes you could sell it

But seriously you should watermark it because those pictures are hot. I would love some serious hi-res images and print them out to hang on my wall that's how good they are... Now if only I can get you to take pics of my car

That's a good thought, Gabe. I assume you just buy the studs from Lowe's or Home Depot? Why couldn't I get the same thread on the entire length?

Thanks man... yeah, I need to watermark 'em. It just takes me a while to edit, then if I have to add watermark ugh... Actually, you know what, I'll check to see if Lightroom can have a default watermark adder. hmmm....

.
The car is already threaded for the wood screw thread.
The nuts are pretty much always machine-thread

I originally had a couple of wingnuts too, to keep the plate on, but after accidentally having driven home with the plate on WITHOUT the wingnuts on there, I realized it isn't going anywhere, and people don't tend to steal a plate at a show, while these days I pretty much use it backwards anyway, so it's just a white plate on the car.

But yeah, driving home 30+ minutes away with a fake rear plate was interesting, especially when I figured out I was doing it, while on the highway, 20+ minutes from the place I had left already, lol
