Installing axle backs
Go slow and follow the instructions. I had never put a wrench to any car prior to installing my Bassani axle backs. But with forums and vendor/manufacturer install guides and videos, it turned out just fine.
Getting the welded tab off of the clamp was a pain. I manhandled the stock mufflers out and took the spot weld off with an old chisel, completely forgetting I had a dremel and a cutoff wheel that would probably have worked better.

Doing an axle back is very easy. Just take your time and make sure when you jack the car up that you have it secured on jackstands. And it's a good idea to loosen where the over the axle pipes meet the midpipes if fitment isn't perfect so you can get everything lined up.
It's too cold to instal mine plus I have a 5 year old running around.
I was thinking of paying a shop like Goodyear, Midas, or Mieneke.
What's a fair price when I call around?
Sorry for the hijack OP.

Pay a friend $40... It's pretty easy. Hell I'd do it for that lol. A shop will charge probably $100 or more.
