HRE P40s Installed

I got my matte black HRE P40s installed on Friday...20x9 in front, 20x10 in the rear, wrapped in BFGoodrich g-Force T/A KDWs. The fitment is absolutely perfect, I couldn't be happier. Hope you all like them as much as I do!

real nice!

don't know if you had 17, 18, or 19s before, but how much has the ride/comfort gone down with the 20s?

I had the 19" Brembo wheels on before. As far as I can tell, the ride hasn't changed a bit. These with my Koni STR.Ts and Steeda Ultralites ride just as good as when it was stock, maybe even a tad better. And the handling has definitely improved as well.

Baller wheels dude! IMO 20's look a bit big (and heavy with respect to a smaller wheel), but hey, to each his own right?

I'm doing something a bit out of the ordinary and praying that it turns out looking as good as I think it's going to. I've got the Street Scene front and side skirts with black billet lower grilles and center mount foglight grille with a Saleen rear end. All is painted as of today, should be installed by the end of this week.

Thank you! And speaking of weight, these things are actually very lightweight for their size: http://mechdb.com/index.php/HRE_P40

I've seen that picture and that was what set me in the direction I'm heading. Mine's gonna be painted just a tad differently though. Had a hard time deciding whether to go for the Saleen grille (which looks so clean with this bumper) or SS. In the end, I decided I wanted to keep the fogs.

I love your look its great but do those wheels seriously cost you the same as supercharger kit as in $1500 each?

I definitely got a better deal than that, but no they aren't exactly cheap either.

Why not wider on the P40s?

I know I could have gone a little wider without having fitment issues, but I was more concerned about what that may do to the ride and handling, extra road noise, decreased MPGs, bigger and more expensive tires which are typically hard to find, etc.

Car looks awesome!! Can't wait to see more pics with the new body kit.

Also the P40S series is about 1-2 lbs lighter than the P40 series. We spec our wheels to be as aggressive as we are comfortable with.

P40 - Brushed/Clear

P40S - Silver

I'm glad I could help you out on those Tim. Thanks for the business, and I'm happy to hear you like the complete setup, wheels and suspension!
