Ok just want everyone's honest opinions in that to do. I have a 5.0 premium with California special spoiler , my buddy has a base with the little four bolt stubby one. He also has a gt500 wing new in box from ford. He wants to trade me but I have 8 bolt holes so if we do it, it will be a full trunk swap. I'm not worried about paint cost because I have access to a body shop an know how to paint. So just give me your opinions.

 

 

Is the GT 500 spoiler OEM or 3d carbon? Are you sure it's from Ford?

 

Do it! The c/s spoiler doesn't look very good in my opinion. You would be getting a major upgrade.

 

^ yes I agree.... But he still has to paint it. Plus once that gt 500 wing is on, isn't isn't coming off in the event he doesnt like it as much as he thought.

 

Ford not 3d carbon

 

He's been asking me for a couple months because he wants it to be gt parts and not look like a cobra.

 

I was with him when he ordered it. If it wasn't a ford part I wouldn't be contemplating doing this.

That spoiler was my first choice as well. Love it!

 

Yeah, even if you have to spend 100 to paint, it's a good deal in my book. Oh wait I forgot you said you needed to trade trunks too. If you can get a good deal on paint then do it. If not, it might be cheaper to just but a new one and only paint the spoiler.

 

It only cost me paint. And I have 8 holes in my trunk. It would be better to trade.

I put a GT500 on my CS and couldn't be happier.

 

I live the gt500 wing but seems everyone has it now. The cali spec isnt seen around as much, looks pretty good (imo) an flows pretty well with the rest of the car. Whichever road you decide to take good luck to you sir!

 

And it seems like everyone and his brother has an iPhone. That doesn't make it any less cool? Just an example. There's a reason everyone has it/wants it. It's awesome!

Pedestal spoilers look a bit out of place on the newer mustangs IMO.

 

I have a OEM GT500 spoiler for my GT/CS, i bought a trunk lid for it. Just need to paint them this spring.

 

I have an iphone and im not saying its a bad thing alot of people and grabbin the gt500 wing. Im just sayin that the cs pedestal just isnt as common
