Got the windows tinted!
Hey guys just thought i'd post this in case anyone is trying to decide what they may want. Front two are tinted with Wincos 30% and quarters and rear with Wincos 20%. The windshield is LLumar air 80. I'm really impressed. Everything cost me $540 but its an investment... I only want to tint this car once. Lifetime warranty for everything nationwide. My main goal was just to keep the car cool, i live in san antonio tx where the temp can be well into the 100's. i believe the heat rejection for wincos is 92% so i hope this will do the trick. Almost went with 3M color stable but i believe the wincos was a better choice.

There are collateral consequence to excessive tinting. If you travel to another state, like NC, and a trooper cannot see you distinctly through your glass, you will get pulled. They will worry about the optics testing later. All he needs is probable cause and you have given it to him based upon his percecption of the window optics. The trooper will then look you, your car and your passengers over very carefully for any violations. A typical example may be just an open container of an alcoholoc beverage being in the passenger compartment. Now some people will say thay do not care, but in truth, most do not really want to be pulled over and examined in this way.

Looks good.
As for the Wincos, I've had it on my 2012 since just after I bought it. 30% on sides, 20% on rear and quarters.
The Wincos definitely delivers. If you park your car in the sun it's still going to get hot, but with the AC running it will cool down faster and get significantly colder than withou the Wincos. It's a difference you can feel as soon as the sun shines directly in a window on to your arm. You can feel your arm baking without the tint, and with the tint you can't even tell the sun is shining on it.
In my car I'm cycling the AC rather than leaving it on all of the time. I'll run it for 2-3 minutes and then drive for 5-10 minutes before the car interior heats up enough to need it again. It's **** but it saves gas.
I live just north of Dallas so I'm experiencing the same conditions as you. Trust me, the Wincos works as advertized.
