Count me in the folks who liked the first iteration of the solid stripes seen on the GT/CS when it first appeared on the 2013 Ford Mustang Gallery. The new ghost effect stripes just don't do it for me at all, more like 'why bother'? I think they actually detract from the appearance as opposed to none at all.

Now if you go with Black or Deep Impact Blue, it really won't be as noticeable as the lighter colors, so I added that as a choice in the poll.

 

Blue car doesn't even have stripes.. White has the ghost stripes and I believe ford has even updated their site to reflect the actual production stripe. I thought the first pics with the solid stripe looked terrible. The first thing I would of done with that solid stripe would of been to remove it.

 

The blue car does have stripes, look closer at the hood... or adjust the contrast on your display =D

 

There aren't stripes on the blue car.....its hood's vents are painted black, but that's it.

 

My eyes see the black ghost stripes on the hood, but not on the side...

 

One of us is either blind or crazy.

 

I know where the hood vents are, and yes, they are painted black. Now let's say for the sake of argument that I'm right, and there are stripes on the blue car (look at the same location on the hood bulge as where you can clearly see the stripes on the white car).

Doesn't that prove my point that these stripes are lame cause you can't see 'em? Before I hit reply, I pulled up the same pic in Gimp and jacked the contrast and brightness....

 

Yeah, because of the angle of the shot, and the colors, you can't see the lower stripe across the front fender and door, but you can see the hood stripe, as shown in my other post.

Time for a new monitor!

 

All it looks like to me is there is a slight shadow near the raised part of the hood because of bad lighting. If there truly are black stripes that fade as they go forward, then yes I'd agree I don't like them. Mainly because they aren't even noticeable, at least with the angle of that shot. But I'm still not really convinced there are stripes on the hood, the brighter picture didn't seem to reveal anything noticeable.

 

I like spears on the '12 hood a lot more. It looks awkward with what looks like a spear continuing all the way to the grille.... =/

And here I was starting to convince myself I was crazy.

 

In the CGI shots the stripes (on White at least) looked a lot darker - I would prefer that or solid. But I can live with the fade as is

 

We can agree to disagree then, it's cool. Once they start arriving on dealer lots, or we get better pix from Ford, we'll know for sure. It will be interesting to see what future posters say they see.

Well there is clearly a fading black stripe on the white car, although it looks to be photoshopped on rather than actually painted on the car. The blue one does not appear to have anything.

Well you can see clearly in those pictures that the blue car doesn't have any stripes on the hood.

 

There is a black stripe on the hood of the DIB CS. There just isn't a rocker stripe
