First time Plasti-Dip user...
Well I decided the plasti-dip my faux gas cap and the bumper inset behind the license plate. This is my first time using PD and I freaking LOVE it! I found it super easy to use and gives a great finish. The gas cap took more taping since I was worried about overspray. But luckily the minor overspray you might get comes right off with light rubbing with a wet cloth due to PD's rubbery consistency. The license plate inset was easy too, I looked up instructions that said to spray one thick coat and then peel the tape while it's wet for a nice, smooth tape line when there's no seams to break the plasti-dip. That method worked like a charm and I think my rear end looks much better now with the added contrast.

Thanks, I'll probably do the decklid panel as well. I've actually admired your car and the mods you've done to it lately. Did you plasti-dip the painted grille surround between the headlights too? I'm thinking about doing that along with some headlight tint.

nevermind, I just checked again and I think you have the Saleen grille and surround. I think I'm gonna do that piece with the 'dip and see how it turns out.

well today I did the front grille surround and the full rear decklid. I am so impressed with this stuff. I'm gonna get the smoked headlight and taillight tints to complete the masked marauder look, lol
Sorry for the crappy pics, I'll take nice full daylight shots later on.

Nice!
Some people hate on plasti dip, but seriously... ~$6 a can and you can rock different stripes/themes every week if you want, what's not to love about it

Do you have pics of how you taped the faux cap off??
So you only put on one heavy coat and that's it? I never could grasp the concept of spraying and peeling tape when wet. Then you can't put on more coats.
Curious how you taped it off tho. I had my Off the car and did it. Still can't get a super smooth finish on it like I did on other parts

When you need a smooth tape line where there are no body gaps you need to peel it off immediately after spraying, so you really can only do one heavy coat. I've found that one thick coat actually dries smoother and looks better so it works out awesome. This is SO much better than using paint.
