Cool A Few More Pics - After Boss Splitter

So this morning I had some time to myself, and I installed my Boss Splitter.

The most time consuming part was waiting for my cordless drill's battery to charge.

I started off by drilling the 1/8 holes while the splitter was taped up. This was a pain in the ***, and I marked the remaining holes with a Sharpie, removed the splitter and drilled accordingly.

This saved a bunch of time for me personally.

The install was smooth, and I gotta say, I love how the front end looks now! I really need a cowl hood, so I'd like some opinions on which to go with. Cervini's or BBR stand out to me right now.

I'd also like to go with a paint scheme to tie it all together.

I'm thinking of a matte black scheme, but don't want the standard blacked out hood, shelby stripes, or the newly popular RTR stripe. I'm toying with the idea of the Foose stripe.

Photoshoppers, feel free to help me out with some ideas whether it be the hood, the paint, or both!

Here is the thread with the before pictures:

Here are some new pics showing off my completed front end.

I think the cowl hood would interrupt the flow of the lines to the front end. It looks great now!

Your car is looking great Nick!

Personally I'm not a fan of the cowl hood on anything other than a full blown drag car.

Thanks man! No, it doesn't fit on the stock bumper.

You can find the CS valance for less than $300, and the splitter was $130 shipped.

Not too bad for completely changing the front end...IMO.

Thanks Rich! I appreciate it! It's been a long process over a short period of time, but I think it's all starting to come together.

I've tried maintaining a decent show/go ratio this time around, so it's coming together a little slower than it did last time around.

Not really a fan of the cowl, huh? If I do get it, here's hoping I can change your mind! Take care bud! I hope you and the wife are doing well! You gotta be eyeballing retirement soon, right? This year some time? IIRC...

BBR hood for sure. And when I was in the market, I had planned on painting all the lower trim gloss black. I was looking at getting white, silver or sterling grey...

The cowl is shorter than some of these hoods I've seen on previous model Mustangs. As mentioned above, this appearance is popular on drag cars. However, the Boss front end and blacked-out trim say "road racer" to me.

Sounds like you have the customization decision made

+1 on this and do gloss black on what ever you decide. But your ride looks great already.

Some people don't like that the cowl on Cervini's hood as it starts with a crease, in comparison to BBR's smooth look, but in person it really does look great. Kind of reminiscent of the crease in the stock hood.

The Cervini's hood is also a lot straighter/angular on the edges of the cowl, not curved/bubbly like the BBR. I can't honestly say which one I would've bought, but, the Cervini's was free for me, so

While I still have the fogs in my grille, here's my Kona with Cervini's 2.5" cowl hood and GT/CS front with BOSS splitter:

I think your car looks perfect the way it is. An aftermarket hood will just mess up the lines of the car. Your car doesn't need stripes to look cool, it already does.
