My wife and I own a 2003 Saleen with the Saleen fiberglas hood......This hood does not shake at all like that one which dances all around at speeds of 65mph+. I was very surprised that this CobraR hood is very calm! I think a lot has to do with the fact its a cowl hood and not a scoop. Thus the air is pushing against it and not lifting it up at all.

Wow. That's amazing. I don't like white cars, but I would take your mustang any day. Very tasteful mods

Do you have plans for any stripes?

I did.....until I put this hood on. now I think it is perfect.... sleek, simple and clean. so no more stripes. next mod is Engine bay "show" pieces and then upgrade the Brake system.

I also agree. That hood certainly makes a statement - IMO any stripes would distract from it.

A few requested pics.....
Pic from inside the car looking at the vents. This pic was taken from drivers perspective sitting back in the seat:

Pic of the underside of hood:

That whole edge where the vents are, I would paint black. The vents would draw my attention to staring at the hood while driving.

I really want this hood. Where there any waves in the material?

Is there anyway you could post a pic of the sprayers, did you have to buy a relocation kit?

THere were no waves at all...it's smooth as glass!
The kit for the sprayers were provided by Cervinis but they want you to mont them to the underside of the hood. I thought that looked crappy, so I routed the hose under teh cowl and drilled a jole for the sprayers to come up through. Then screwed them to the cowl itself.

Have you noticed after long drives that the temps under the hood are any cooler then with the stock hood?

I never checked the temps on the stock engine bay.....and I have not taken the car on a drive longer than 30mi since I got the new hood on.

But Im gonna do some in depth research soon to see how the vents are working.
