Carbon fiber 2013 hood vents?

I think that it would make for an interesting conversation piece for sure. I wish someone would make them. I might have to just buy some unpainted ones and have them wrapped. Thoughts?

I would say that it depends on the color your putting them on...

I plasti-dipped mine, and they have a flat black textured plastic look... I think they look pretty sweet, but I'd be all over some carbon fiber looking ones.

If JLT applied their hydrocarbon technique, it could be a cheap and easy way to accomplish this... I'd be willing to ship them my hood vents and have them send them back to me

I would much rather have the real thing. I did think about plastidip and I think they would stand out a lot more, which is what I was going for but I don't know. I think I'm going to go buy some and see what happens.

I just PlastiDip'd them last night and they look pretty good. I took the vents out instead of leaving them on the hood and taping them off. No over spray worries. Pics after the jump.

Ohhhhhh....think I know what I'm doing to my DIB this weekend. I didn't know if the black would "pop" enough against the blue to make it worth the time but you just made up my mind

You can have a carbon fiber effect done by MRT. Take a look here.
