The more I look at them the more I like them. The chrome trim around the black looks pretty cool. Sets them off right.

It's all black, no chrome. It's just that shiny! Lol

Wow! That makes it even better that they have a surface that catches light like that. Again, the more I look the more I like.

The only regret I have is not knowing about these sooner and riding around with two holes in my fenders for half a year! Ha

How hard is it to get the emblems off? Do you just pry off with a cloth wrapped flathead?

First tape around the emblem so you don't scratch the paint, then Get a blow dryer or heat gun and get the adhesive behind the emblem hot. Then I just stuck a debit card behind them to loosen it the I wiggled them off!

I've had mine done for 2+ months now- and it's held up extremely well. And it goes nice with the matte black trim. for $6 it's really simple to do and effective.
this is the exact reason im looking through these emblem threads!! ive been thinking of Plasti dipping my side GT emblems but i read online that Plasti dip is rubberized?? is this correct? i thought it was more of a hard coating rather than a rubberized one

It does have a rubber type feel to it but after a while it seems to become more plastic feeling, atleast on my car. I did some emblems too just messing around with old stock parts.

I agree my base wheels don't go with the theme, and I certainly prefer the GT500 wheels like you have. But I DO like the base wheels a lot and for now would rather not spend the money. Maybe once warmer weather hits. But I am keeping an eye open on the classifieds and Craigslist for a take-off set of the 19" GT500s (regular or, even better, forged SVT) if the price is right.

I tried the plastipdip it looked good but I could see little imperfections and it bothered me so I peeled it off. I think I'm gonna go with these

It's really not that hard at all .. there are 3 posts, kinda in the formation of a triangle. A little patience, strong fishing line (and wear some gloves) and you're good to go. Goof off helps out a bunch too.

No overspray just take your time and alot of newspaper, my car is black and I was more scared of scratching the paint pulling it off. Plus any overspray would rub off with the plastic dip.

Men put the gt500 faux gas cap only and fender emblems or swap the front to gt500 front
