Anyone have or going to have their mustang wrapped?
I have had my 2013 GT for less than two weeks now and I hate that I got it in black
always dirty.....
Thinking of getting carbon fiber wrap.
What kind of prices should I be expecting? Any downsides?

I know its like a part time job. We got a black 2012 edge in spring break and I hate having to wash it and less than 2 days later its all dirty :@. I have thought of wrapping my new 2012 but have similar questions. What would it cost? Pros and cons?
Please don't do a CF wrap! Saw a Porsche wrapped and it was hilarious. The CF pattern were all missed up from panel to panel.
Invest in a big California Duster if you haven't... it works wonders on dust. As long as you keep it waxed (or better, with many layers of sealant), a simple wipe will be good.

The wrap will get just as dirty but only difference is it wont be as noticeable. You made the choice to get that color and im sure you knew what that entitles you to do. Do a proper full detail and then just maintain the finish. One good session (polish, clay bar, sealant, wax) will last quite a long time if done right. Check out the car care section and youll find plenty of tips amd tricks you can use to keep that paint shining like new
Buy a black car, and then B***H that it gets dirty ! Amazing...
All I can say is "wow". Somebody didn't use their thought processes very well !

Amazing response, thanks for the input super hero captain hindsight. It's almost like I never owned a black car before and this is my first experience with one.

Well you were the one complaining about it man. No need to lash out at us. You came across as someone who complained about how dirty a black car can look. It should come as no surprise, black shows everything. Black shirts show lint, blacklights show stains, black paint shows dirt and scratches. Its all black and its all simple. Clean, maintain, and dont worry so much. If you dont like it that bad then get it repainted silver. You wont have to worry at all.

This is not a complaining thread, it's about car wraps and simply added one of 2 reasons I'm interested in having it done. Also would like to have a unique look so buying a black car has nothing to do with that. Responses that give opinions on a wrap and even that give helpful tips on keeping the car cleaner are always welcome. jackass remarks that give no helpful info are not
Now if you're looking for that matte look a lot of the newer sports cars seem to be having these days I understand - thinking about getting my roof wrapped in vinyl.
I wash my Kona Blue once a week. I use a California duster every night to get the dust off. Then half way through the week I use Maguiers wash & wax anywhere to get any light dirt off. Works wonders.
I understand what you're saying but a wrap will certainly not 'eliminate' any work in keeping a daily driven and/or car kept outside clean. That's just life.

Plasti dip is awesome, I used it on the front end of my Vette before to add custom logos for shows. Too much work to do the whole car though
Have you thought of getting the car opticoated?
Owning a black car isn't a part time job.. it is working full time and moonlighting at the same time!
