Hey guys, I just wanted your thoughts as I am up in the air on which wheels to get. For the last 2 months of waiting I've wanted the Saleen style wheels in black because they are just simple, yet mean looking in my opinion. However, I recently saw the black and charcoal AMR wheels I also like a lot. Now my whole plans are messed up! Anywho, which wheels do you guys like or do you like neither? I would just like to get some feedback, thanks.

That's a hard call. Both look nice.. I think I am just a bit biased because I'd love a pair of Saleens for my new edge.

I second the AMR wheels. I'm not a fan of the Saleen wheels.

 

I really do like the AMRs especially for your body style.

I'm biased on the Saleens because they look badass on the New Edges.

The S197 is bigger so the AMRs might look more aesthetically pleasing than the Saleens on your body style.

 

Me personally i dont like black wheels but the Saleen's do look good

 

dude i just got the silver/black AMR wheels and they are AWESOME!!!!

 

Seems the AMR's are the more popular choice right now. Only problems is black or charcoal? I saw a black 2011 with wheels very similar in charcoal on the way to a meeting yesterday(the only good thing I got out of the extra trip that morning) and it looked bad ***. However he had the MCA style grille which I think tied in the gray into the black a little better. I, on the other hand, am going to be going with the Roush grille. Any input there?

Both are junk IMHO. Stick with OEM. You get what you pay for. $139 wheel isn't very quality.

I am only going to use them in the warmer seasons, as I live in New York and pairing those with summer tires is not going to work well in the winter or beginning of spring. I understand the lack of extreme durability, however if I were to go RTR or something high quality I'd end up spending $800 to $1,000 more. That's money I'm just not willing to spend for wheels I'll have on only 2/3 months a year. Had I money to blow, that might be a different story.
