Added factory camera spoiler to Base Model

Just wanted to show off my new camera spoiler that I added to my Base Model 2013.

I'm not writing a "How To:", but I will summarize how I wired it up.

Wire harness from spoiler

As forum member Siber Express says "The colors change in the Harness you plug into.
The Blue wire does not get used, the Red, 2 whites and 2 blacks do.
If you go by the 11 wiring diagram the red will be #1.
Here is the replacement plug you need "

Switched 12v = RED Pin 1
Ground = BLACK Pin 3
Video Sheild = BARE SHEILD - pin 4 (also black and i didnt connect it to anything)
VIDEO + WH-GN = WHITE Pin 6
Video - BN-VT = WHITE pin 7

As for the mirror wiring:

Switched 12v - fuse tap to fuse 41

green reverse wire from mirror was tapped into the BCM B module (body control module B) which is in the trunk behind the carpet on the right side behind where the factory amplifier would be if I had one. its a black 24pin connector. Pin 5 which is GREEN for the 2013s is the left reverse lamp signal.

Camera power 12v - fuse tapped to fuse 29. As for the ground wire, well I just grounded in the trunk on a metal bolt behind the carpet.

Awesome, glad I could be some help. Trust me I had a lot of help from another Forum member when I did mine so it cut out a lot of hunting around for where to find all the wire diagrams.

What was the total cost to do this? I don't have any trouble backing up, but it's hard to judge how close I am to something and I figure having this would eliminate that issue.

really depends on where you get your parts and things like that.

If you currently have a spoiler then luckily you already have all the holes in the trunk that are needed.

My project was $155 (shipped) for the mirror, $75 shipped for the spoiler (got a great ebay deal, even came in the right color), $180 to have spoiler repainted (got scuffed up at my house awaiting install lol) and thats it. Oh and that pigtail harness i bought (which is optional) was about $20

so for me, it was a total of 430 or so minus the wiring. would have been a lot less if i was a little more careful with the spoiler when i got it.
