Looks tacky if you ask me, but what's more important is that you like it.

Someone should put "Hawaii" right over the 5.0 badge. I'm sure it will trump all in tackiness.

I, on the other hand, plan on dumping the fender badges completely.

Thanks for the input. I can see it looking a little "busy" now that you mention it. I think I like it because the badge has an old school look to it. I need to get some slotted mags and then I'm in business

Next up is to get a Mustang Delete grill and swap the rims for some black ones.

There has to be alignment hole(s) there's no way they're going to take the time to center a badge.

They are taped on
But in the assembly line there's a plastic pin in the back of the emblem that helps the worker put the emblem in the right spot everytime
Otherwise we'd have cars with crooked emblems because of human error and like Joe said the time involved would slow the line down

Just learned about the holes. I'll probably be swapping in pony package badges. The 5.0 badges are too big and obnoxious for me. Font that was 10 points smaller and they wouldn't have offended me, but the size they are screams "trying too hard."

No badges; just like the V6's clean look.

it's also a little busy for me, but clearly a valid choice. One of the joys of having a stang is that you can make changes to make it YOUR OWN. My Badge is the old school high output 302. I still think it's the best I've seen. Then again, it's what I went with so clearly I would.
